About the role

The Project Management team partner with our Business Units and Creative and Digital departments and are responsible for the delivery of projects for our clients. The Project Management team, work with available in-house expertise as-well as third-party suppliers, and provide appropriate direction, ensuring projects meet or exceed client expectations and are delivered within scope, on time, and in budget.

Project Manager at Lucid is responsible for:

  • Overseeing end-to-end delivery to the highest quality, managing all stakeholders
  • Creation of all project documentation including scoping documents (SOW and supporting docs), developing estimates aligned to delivery framework, creating detailed project plans in MS project/ Smartsheet to show all dependencies within a project
  • Communicating project milestones, managing internal teams to ensure they are delivering to plan, removing blockers to projects to allow teams to produce the best work
  • Driving projects to completion on time, on budget and to scope, managing the changing nature of projects so that teams are clear on tasks that need to be completed, they are not working late, and that the agency are not having to invest due to internal error or client management
  • Building strong working relationships with client services teams’, being an established point of contact on project delivery and advocate for process
  • Managing multiple projects, around med comms, digital, motion and creative
  • Leading teams by establishing roles and responsibilities, setting expectations from the start and ensuring clear communication throughout the delivery process
  • Booking resource and attending weekly resource meetings to ensure that requirements are covered and resolving conflicts
  • Understanding of the skillsets of individuals in the agency within all departments
  • Reports back to the Senior Project Management team on project status and financials providing regular updates and escalating issues early
  • Empower internal teams to get work done, motivate and ensure team members stay focussed
  • Be pro-active and therefore anticipate risks and issues, raising from the outset and putting in place risk mitigation strategies
  • Encouraging optimal works of working, striving for the highest quality
  • Identifying process issues, or project problems, coming up with solutions and thinking of impact to wider business on changes proposed
  • Setting standards for the team

They are ambassadors for Lucid Group process, helping upskill those around on creative, digital and motion projects.

What we're looking for

Successful candidates will have:

  • Experience managing projects ranging from med comms, branding, digital (web, app, CRM) and motion
  • Can demonstrate strong senior stakeholder management skills (clients and internal teams) with the ability to influence and negotiate
  • Lead, engage and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Manage end-to-end project life cycle including scoping, project timelines, estimating, reporting risk and quality management
  • Ability to manage teams to bring projects in on time and on budget
  • Ability to explain process and influence teams along the project journey
  • Have clear expectations in terms of role definition between client services and project management so that partnerships in working can happen
  • Worked alongside client services, managing briefings for creatives and project teams
  • Have confidence in front of clients to explain project scope, approach, process, timings and costs to ensure they are kept informed along the journey, flagging when scope creep happens and react quickly to ensure projects move forward (not at the cost to the agency)
  • Problem solving skills with a positive approach
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, working across multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised, in teams and stand alone
  • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
  • Advanced project planning software skills such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet
  • Formal project management training (e.g Prince2 or Agile, desirable not essential)
  • Experience within the medcomms/healthcare industry (desirable not essential)
