About the role

The Senior Account Director is a senior leader in a client team who develops, leads and delivers a client plan aligned to overall client strategy. They take ownership of the account(s), being able to articulate the client strategy to the team. They can provide the client with valuable counsel while ensuring their team perform and deliver quality outputs against revenue targets. They are responsible for the financial management of the account(s) and generating organic growth. The Client Services team partner with our Medical Writing team and are responsible for the delivery of projects for our clients. The Client Services team work with available in-house expertise, such as our creative team, but also with third-party suppliers, and provide appropriate direction, ensuring projects exceed client expectations and are delivered to budget.

A Senior Account Director at Lucid is responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with our clients, being an established point of client contact and being recognised as a strategic partner
  • Managing multiple projects, leading mixed team of client services and writers, and lead after project review meetings highlighting excellence and areas of improvement
  • Taking ownership of the account(s), being able to articulate the client strategy to the team
  • Providing the client with valuable counsel whilst ensuring the team perform and deliver quality outputs against revenue targets
  • Business planning and identifying and implementing broader programs and initiatives that advance Lucid’s ways
  • Mentoring team members to enable personal development
  • Pitch planning and delivery
  • Providing counsel for internal team when guidance is required to deliver excellence
  • Coaching and helping others understand core processes and our strategy
  • Being an ambassador of excellence in client service
  • Highlighting key issues and resolving them quickly
  • Building broad networks, developing pitches and contributing to incremental business
  • Building innovative programmes and content
  • Establishing optimal works of working
  • Setting standards for the team
  • Ensuring that we exceed all clients’ expectations

What we're looking for

Successful candidates will have:

  • Extensive experience within an account management, partnership-focused role
  • Experience in creating innovative strategic programmes for clients and big picture thinking
  • Experience driving and leading teams
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong client partnerships
  • Experience within the Med Comms/healthcare industry
  • Experience problem solving and providing solutions
  • Demonstrable experience delivering excellent projects for clients, on time and on budget
  • Experience in delivering presentations and leading client pitches
  • Experienced in coaching, mentoring or managing others
